Allen Smith is Vice President of Customer Experience and Head of UX at DMI. His team’s mission is to create world-class mobile products and services that drive adoption and loyalty.
Allen is an advisor to the Swedish maker-space, Collaboratory, and an advisor to the Swedish interaction lab T2i. He has a MSc in Interaction Design from Chalmers University of Technology, a Bachelors in Telecommunications from Indiana University, and writes, speaks, and teaches on subjects within Interaction Design, UX Design, and Design Thinking Innovation. He has previously held design management and R&D roles at Volvo Group, Ericsson, Designit, and Qualcomm; has three patents for his work in design; and, has been published in Computer Graphics Forum, Creative Solutions, Digital Web Magazine, and course material in interaction design programs at Parsons: The New School for Design and Boston University.
