Positions
PhD student position in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) with Application on Industrial Tomography

Process tomography provides rich data but new control methodologies are needed if these data are to be used for real-time control. HCI, information visualization, big data algorithms, and human cognition are all disciplines needed to tackle such challenges. The PhD candidate will develop a novel methodology based on image data reduction and perceptual visualisation to present process information to operators. This will include selecting and evaluating suitable visualization tools, formats, and architectures. The PhD candidate will spend secondments of about eight months in total for technical and scientific training in Karlsruhe, Germany.
