Recent paper in Interactions (IX) Magazine on designing interactions for experienced runners

While most technology aimed at motivational support for runners has focused on beginners, little has been directed to advanced amateurs. By focusing on the social aspects of running, such as fitting running into family life, instead of just physical monitoring, the hope is to design better interactive technology for runners.
